Demo-lition of the culture of Gaming : Discrimination of gamers on the basis of Operating Systems.

Someone very wise once said, 'All gamers are born equal', it doesn't matter if they happen to own a Mac OS that doesn't support half the games that are made available to a Windows user. Why lose a culture so pumped with the need for catharsis among testosterone fueled boys and girls full of zeal, over differences in operating systems.
Steam is a beautiful social platform that has combined gamers alike from all parts of the world and encourages them to form communities, becoming even larger than the hidden teenagers they are behind their laptop screens. The gaming world transforms them into something that only can be explained by the satisfaction of accomplishing a mission and completing a game even though you may not have moved out of bed all day. (And accomplished zilch of your assignment.)
But, is it fair then to disallow a faction of these enthusiastic gamers from being part of these larger communities because of their choice in the OS and laptop? Can I not play 'Dishonour' or 'Call of Duty' just because I am an Apple user?
Although we may be moving past discrimination based on gender in the gaming world, is it not only just that one mustn't be discriminated on the basis of their systems?
