Fresh Flower, Ruby Rose : Gender Fluidity

Ruby Rose Langenheim (born 20 March 1986) is an Australian DJ, recording artist, actress, former MTV Video Jockey (VJ) and model mostly known for being the face of Maybeline in Australia. She has also co-hosted many television shows, such as 'Australia's Next Top Model' and 'The Project' on Network Ten.

Well established and popular in Australia, Ruby Rose is now beginning emerged as a popular face and figure on screen worldwide. With her most recognizable work in Tv series 'Orange Is The New Black' as part of the cast in Season 3 of the show as Stella Carlin.

Ruby Rose came out as a lesbian at the age of 12. And because of her sexual orientation, she suffered taunts and physical abuse from her schoolmates, which then led to a suicide attempt. Rose said she wanted to be a boy while growing up and that she was saving up money to physically transition from female to male.

Ruby Rose is 'genderfluid' to which effect she has released her short film on the subject, called

'Break Free', in which she visually transforms from a feminine character to a masculine one. Literally highlighting her neutral stand on gender and what it is like to have an identity that deviates from the status quo.

Ruby Rose has also emerged as a face thought of as doppelgängers of young Leonardo DiCaprio and more frequently Justin Bieber.
